Because I Love You

I had not a bit of control.

As my glass was almost empty...and my soul was just the same.

She came into my eyes, my thoughts, my very being.

I had not realized that I'd been so very empty for so very long.

As our eyes met, through the aid of another, they were fused; I knew not for how long.

They say young love doesn't last...but who are they to make that decision?

In my eyes, all things are forever...

But that came to a very concrete realization when I was my papaw's monitor flat line.

What I have to strengthen me now is something he would be so very proud of.

She is a part of my family...even without an invitation...like a glove that fits just right...always been there.

When you get to this point in a relationship...hit pause...because it's perfect.
