Because I Love You
I always used to think that you are the only you that can make you feel better
Your happiness is in the hands of those who don't matter,
But since you walked into my life,
my veiws on the world have been displaced.
Because I love you, I am not cynic like I once was
The cryptic messages left behind by my father no longer have control.
Because I love you, I am not afraid of the trust I deserve
The truths my mother held from her children of her tiredness no longer consume my adolecent mind.
Because I love you, I am not silent and closed off
The silloetts of a dream that is shattered in the fridged air no longer crave to be glued back in place.
Because I love you, I am happy, and that is all I could ever ask for.
