Because I love You

Because I love you,

I told you the truth

even if it hurt.

Because I love you,

I stayed with you longer

even if I was late for work.

Because I love you,

I let you cook dinner

even if I could not get the dog to eat it.

Because I love you,

I let you give me kisses

even when you were sick.

Because I love you,

I let you go

even though it broke my heart,

even though it tore me apart.
