Because I love you

I know you won’t be perfect.

And I'd never expect you to be.

But I love you for your flaws,

And you put up with me.

Because I love you,

I will share my chicken nuggets.

And you will share your time.

Go out with your buddies,

But leave your heart with mine.

Because I love you,

I demand respect!

Treat me like your Queen.

But if you do I’ll repay,

With more love than you can dream.

I love you because,

An ordinary man would be set in his ways.

But you stay true to yourself,

And strive to improve each day.

I love you because,

You don't always agree.

We discuss, not argue.

And both sides you see.

I love you because,

You make my days bright.

Your goal is my smile

And you cuddle with all your might.

I will love you because,

You let me, let you go.

You fought for me,

But knew when I meant no.

I will love you because,

You showed me what I deserve .

My potential to improve

And to wholeheartedly serve.

I will love you because,

You got me through the lows

And celebrated my highs.

Your print on my heart forever shows.
