Because I love you ...

Because I love you

I don’t pick fights

I don’t swear

I don’t feel sadness

And for once I see the light

You are that light

Because I love you

I don’t feel pain

I don’t hate

I don’t feel alone

And for once I feel alive

You give my life purpose

Because I love you

Anything you do, I allow

Anything you say, I accept

Anything you feel, I feel

And for once we are together

You and I as one

Because I love you

I give you myself

I give you my trust

I give you passion

And for once I finally give myself to someone

You own me

Because I love you

I have scars

I cry when I go to sleep

I am no longer an open book

I have lost faith and trust

And for once I feel alone

You made me feel this way

Because I love you

I hide how I truly feel

I hide my sadness behind my smile

I hide my scars

And for once I no longer feel beautiful

You did this to me

But it no longer matters

You are gone

And the girl you knew is gone

She left when you did

And for once she is no longer innocent

You took her life away

She no longer exists

She blames you

She swears at you

She feels pain

She feels completely alone

You are to blame
