Because I Love You

Because I love you

I do not keep score

our only competition is

fighting to love more.

Sacrificing my nights

to learn about your day

and mentionig your name

everytime I pray.

Because I love you

I call when I can,

tell you all my advancements

at becoming a better man.

Sharing my fears

at the expense of your tears

so my intent, to meet your expectation

is made clear.

Because I love you

I visit problems alone

leave you to enjoy life

negativity unexposed.

You're a joy of the earth.

A miracle at birth.

Because I love you

I recognize your worth.
