Because I Love You

Seeing you everyday happy kills me inside

Because I know it could've been us

You wanted to connect but my mind was just screaming "Get away don't come near me!"

I knew I was going to hurt you

I knew I was going to be the one to hold you down

I knew you would've left everything for me

And if I ever said those three words you would've stayed

I helped you with your problems but I didn't want your help

I knew the damaged I was capable of

So, I left you crying wishing I would turn around and hug you

I heard your screams and all I wanted to do was to run to you but I knew I was doing the right thing

Because you sacrifice something for me to be happy

I sacrifice myself for you to be happy with the girl you truly love

Because I love you...
