Because I Love You...

As a mother,

Who insists on her children staying inside

As the rain pours down from above,

Like a sister,

Who held his hand

As his life fell to pieces,

When I see the old lady down the street,

Holding an umbrella over a tiny dog

Shaking in the dreary morning,

And when I think of you,

While I ride this bus

To nowhere as you wave goodbye,

Because I love you,

The ones who held me up when I was sick

Telling me everything would still be fine in the morning,

The people who stand by my side,

Throughout the hard life We've been dealt

And the Easy that still comes,

And even when all was lost,

You were there

Holding me together,

Even when I was falling apart,

And you couldn't see

Just how hard it was for me,

Because I love you,

And I discovered

That you loved me too.
