Because I Love You

"I'm Sorry but I only do this because I Love You."

Words that haunt me every day,

Morning, Afternoon, and Night,

I hear them in my head.

"I'm Sorry but I only do this because I Love You."

They follow me like my shadow,

Never letting go,

Ringing in my head like churchbells on Sunday,

"I'm Sorry but I only do this because I Love You."

And the only thought that can cross through my mind.

The three words that repeat themselves again and again.

"But do you?"
