Because I love you

Telling you that you're fat because you need to lose weight, i say it because I love you.

Making you feel like a slave in your home, because I deserve respect, I do because I love you.

Ignoring your every tear and telling you to get over it, I say because I love you.

NO! That isn't love, that is control and hate and manipulation, love is much more!

Holding you at night when you're scared, I do because I love you.

Asking you about your day and genuinely listening, I do because I love you.

Giving you a massage at night because you've had a rough day, I do because I love you.

Letting you decide what's for dinner or what movie to watch, I do because I love you.

But is a relationship one sided? Should love be one sided? NO! Love is much more!

Telling each other jokes to see each other's smile we do because we love each other.

Compromising on how we should decorate our home, we do because we love each other.

Planning outings without the disruptions of  phone or the media we do because we love each other.

To be in a relationship is to be equal, it is to be completly apart of it.

The point is that we love each other.
