Because I Love You

If perhaps you have a gloomy day

Where nothing goes right and the sky is gray,

I will provide you with beautiful sunshine

To soak into your skin while the stars re-align,

All because I love you.

If ever you are weary and worn,

I will be your shelter from the storm,

All because I love you.

If something ever makes you feel like less than you are,

I will show you the night sky and the simple beauty of a star,

Just because I love you.

And for every dream you wish to chase,

I will watch you succeed with infinite grace,

Just because I love you.

When we decide to further our love,

I will first make sure that I am one of

Those who know themselves so truly,

and love others for more than beauty,

Only because I love you.

And if by chance you made the decision to stray,

I will ask but never force you to stay,

Only because I love you.
