Because I Love You

"Because I love you" bears two meanings,

Either toxicity and temptation

Or something more endearing.

A poisonous foundation of false love and emotion

Can lure one down a path

Of deceiptful devotion.

This summer I learned the true meaning of "Because I love you."

I left my unhealthy relationship behind

And began my life anew.

I found my true friends and felt the apprectiation

That could not be obtained

From my prior fixation.

My friends proved that healthy relationships are real,

And now I live openly

Able to shamelessly express how I feel.

I'm stronger than ever now with my crew,

Ever since they said

"Because I love you."
