Because I Love You

Because I love you:

I know your favorite cereal and not to wake you up before 9AM on Saturday

I know the moments you need your space and the times I know I can’t help

I know your mom and dad almost as good as my own.

I ask my mother if this is what it was like when she met my father.

I know if I make your eggs sunny side up, to not butter your toast so it doesn’t get soggy.

I know when we argue that we always work it out.

Because I love you, I know that we can and will overcome anything life throws at us.
