Because I Love You
Because I love you, I left you.
I saw your eyes shift and shoulders rise with uncertainty everytime I said 'I love you.'
How you'd turn away from me before bed and I'd wake alone by morning.
I love you, so I stopped trying to get your attention. Little fights meant more freedom, which is something you gladly ran for. Because I love you, I offered spare time to stay home while you hang with your family and friends and became considerate of a more comfortable life style. Yet it was not enough.
Because I love you, I let you free. Be wild.
