Because I love you

Because I love you,

I know every word that rolls off your tongue is true,

Every heart beat matches the rhythm of mine,

It’s because I love you, being with you is never a waste of time,

You treat me like a queen on a throne,

You don’t venture out for little peasants because I am your only one,

The only one that feeds your soul, and betters your mind,

The one that feeds your stomach, while I sometimes starve mine,

It’s called sacrifice, but I’m filled with butterflies and with them I shine,

I love how we say things simultaneously,

Identical love that doesn’t need DNA because it wonders aimlessly,

Intentional love that no man or woman can intervene,

Because I’m the top to your bottom and there is no in between,

My love is your love and your love is mine,

We aging together baby like a glass of fine wine,

I know when my heart skips a beat, yours fills the gap,

But when we hug we both feel our chests tap…tap…tap,

With you each and every day is refreshing and new,

And I know it’s all because I love you.
