Because I love You, Mom

Because I love You, Mom

I will lay tell you I stopped feeling good a long time ago

Because I love you

I let you book an appointment with a doctor who will tell me I need professional help

Because I love you

I agree to see the physiatrist that the doctor recommended

Because I love you

Seeing you hurt when she tells you about my depression will crush me

Because I love you

I will take the medicine that she prescribed even though it makes me sleepy

Because I love you

I will see the therapist that was recommended to me

Because I love you

I will talk drive to the therapist 3 times a week

Because I love you

I'll call the hotline he gave me when I don't see the point in it all

Because I love you

I will tell him the truth when he asks me if I've ever attempted

Because I love you

I will let him tell you about my attempts

Because I love you

I will cry because the way I've been feeling scares you and Dad

Because I love you

I will try my best to get better

Because I love you, Mom

I'll stick around
