Because I love you is not an excuse to touch me there
Because I love you cannot be an invite to peel my clothes down
Because I love you should never mean the door should be locked
Because I love you does not make it acceptable to force yourself on me
The phrase has been made to be an excuse
A poison tearing through the body for a victim that heard the same lie
Three simple words once kept for marriage is now manipulative,
only for ones own aching desires
Twisting our brains, shaking our inner feelings, peeling away self love
Because I love you is not enough
