Because I Love You: Scholarship Poem
The day I met you, was the day I knew
The day that I met you, I was in love.
The day that I met you, you were so new
I thought you were sent to me from above.
The words I love you, mean so much to me
Because I love you, I’d cross the ocean.
You are like the honey, and I am the bee
Your love over me, is like a potion.
Then you became as cold as a glacier
I then realized love as the rapture.
And I was just not being a hater
Only at love, am I an amateur.
My days had suddenly become so grey
I don’t love you like I did yesterday.
