Because I Love You...So Very Much

I was shattered and broken.

Not a word to be spoken.

I loved and I lost.

Now I am here, and she is gone.

My trust was severed, my heart betrayed.

I was shattered and broken, mind blank, emotions vague.

Then you came along and brightened my life.

I was shattered and broken, but you gave me light.

You never lie and you always worry for me.

Is all this even real, or is this just a dream?

I began to feel something deep in my chest.

Something warm and nice, nonetheless.

I felt happy and cheerful.

We talked with so much ease.

I began to feel less fearful.

I began to feel free.

You are always there for me

Whether I want you or not.

You always worry about me,

About my well-being and whatnot.

You always make sure

I am doing my best.

Every single day

Without any rest.

Now here we are together.

Just a guy and a gal

Who are madly in love

And are the best of pals.

We keep each other happy

With our quirks and our love.

We can talk about anything,

No secrets, no lies, just trust.

I was shattered and broken,

All alone and such.

Now I am with you, my savior.

Because I love you...so very much.
