Because I Loved You

Because I loved you

I put a smile on my face just to hide the pain

Because I loved you

I put you before myself, although it jacked up my brain

Because I loved you

I’ll never feel ashamed of all the agony

Because I loved you

I didn’t care what people said, I let you keep dragging me

Because I loved you

My life will never be the same

You stripped all my innocence away, I’ll never be whole again

Because I loved you

I forgot how to love, all my trust is gone, I’ll never believe in anyone

Why go through it again?

Because I loved... you?
