so I learned to love you.

I made myself believe

only certiain things could make you happy.

Because I loved you,

I gave my whole self to you.

I ignored

my values 

and

my beliefs 

to satisfy you.

Because I loved you,

my mind became clouded;

I had no focus on anything

But You. 

I walked away from friends and family,

ignored my responsibilities, 

just to be with you.

I didn't know at the time

how much it would affect me.
