Because I No Longer Love You...

Because I love you I won't go to college

I won't go to the game

Because I love you, I will not allow myself to feel pretty

or proud

or tall

I won't let them compliment me because I love you.

Then it changes.

He tells me he loves me

and I am strong

resilient

powerful.

Because now I no longer love you and I am

a woman.
