Because I still love you

When I think about love , you’re the first to come to mind
Because I love you
I wake up at night just to see if you’re still there
Because I love you
I get out of bed early just to prepare your breakfast
Because I love you
I check your phone while you’re gone
Because I love you
I compliment you every time I get the chance
Because I love you
I notice you’ve been gone for hours
Because I love you
I go to your job but you’re not there
Because I love you
I ask your friends and they say you left with your boyfriend
Because I loved you
I go home and pack all my clothes
Because I loved you
I wait for you to come home to tell you I’m leaving
Because I loved you
I see a car pulling up and a man dropping you off
Because I loved you
I scream and shout at you for doing this to me
Because I loved you
I drove off filled with tears
Because I loved you
I wrote this letter as a reminder
Because I loved you
I dropped this letter off at your door
Because I still love you
