Because We Are Not Vulcans

Because I love you, I will be there

Through heaven and through hell

Amidst happiness and sorrow

To have our souls become intertwined

Until the end of time

Because I love you, I must express myself

To stay true to our human qualities

And to talk with you without falsities

Despite emotions being illogical

Open communication makes a relationship functional

Because we are not Vulcans

I shall not bottle my emotions

And will proceed with honesty

To be like true comrades

In a world with many fads

Be there as I will be

Love as I will love

Express as I will express

And we will have endless happiness

And forever soar

Above any war

And topple any irrational shove

Because of our insurmountable love
