Because We Love
What is love?
Is it fear or is it lust?
Is compassion and romance?
Or merely something that we say
To avoid turning to dust?
Because I love you
I am strong and strong-willed
Because I love you
I am no longer frail and ill
Because I love you
I am hopeful and kind
Because you love me
You smile and laugh
Because you love me
You have come to terms
With your past
Because you love me
You are gentle and generous
Because we love
We no longer hurt
Others with lies
Because we love
We made a promise
To love until we die
Because we love
We now wear metal bands
With pride
Because we love
We are now husband and bride
