Because We Love Each Other

Because I love you, I don’t make you feel ashamed when you show your feelings

Because you love me, you’re not afraid to show me your feelings

Because I love you, I respect when you have secrets

Because you love me, you feel comfortable telling me your secrets

Because I love you, I’m okay with you going out with your friends

Because you love me, you don’t tell me whether I can or cannot go out with friends

Because I love you, I don’t feel like I own you

Because you love me, you don’t feel like you own me

Because I love you, I am there for you at the best of times

Because you love me, you are there for me at the worst of times

Because we love each other, we act like we do, instead of just saying it
