Because I love you

I will wait for you

I will guide you when you can’t make the journey

And I will take half the weight on the way

Because I love you.

Because you love me

I will hope you will do the same

And when I’m lying on the ground

I will see your outstretched hand in return

Because you love me.

Because I love you

I will hear you in your lowest moments.

I will do more than just listen

I will hear

Because I love you.

Because you love me

I can tell you when I am hurting

And I won’t fear you will use it against me

In a moment of weakness

Because you love me.

Because I love you

When you fight for something you believe in

I will root for you

No matter how big or small

Because I love you.

Because you love me

You won’t hurt me to win

You won’t tear me down

To attempt to make yourself better

Because you love me.

Because we love each other

We will rise and fall

We will trip and stumble

And that’s ok

Because we love each other.

<p>I particularly enjoyed the part where you describe the security you feel in confiding with your loved one, knowing he will not betray you or use those weaknesses against you. It's the most beautiful thing, isn't it, to be able to let go of those fears and worries, knowing the other still loves you for all your shortcomings. Even better, that he is willing to honor your trust even if you both know that perhaps one day, there will come an argument in which he could use it against you. But it's also beautiful to know he won't, that he cherishes you too much to let small things destroy that precious safe haven of trust.</p>
