Because You've Shown Me Love...

Love is more than just an emotion.

Love is gentle, and love is kind, unlike winter's night.

Love is a swift spring breeze, just barely lifting you off your feet.

Love is devotion, and encourages goal-setting.

And because you've shown me love, I push myself farther than I ever imagined I could go.

Because you've shown me love, I will reach these goals no matter the mountains ahead of me.

Because you've shown me love, I never worry about my appearance, or state of mind.

Because you've shown me love, I understand the meaning behind the words "I love you."

Because you've shown me love, I never fear of failure, knowing you will always be by my side.

But the world is a broken, confused place...

And because you've shown me love, I will refuse advances of flirtacious women.

Because you've shown me love, I will give you honesty that few men have.

Because you've shown me love, I will never judge you, for you have never judged me.

Because you've shown me love, I will communicate with you even in the darkest of nights.

Because you've shown me love, I know to respect you always, and remember always: You and I alike, are human.

And although you've done me wrong, more than just a few times...

You've shown me the true form, of endless love.

Because you've shown me love,

Whether I am with you for years to come, or for only one more day...

I am ready.
