#becauseilovemyself
one thousand two hundred and ninety seven.
thats how many miles you drove to me that day
and i had one thousand reasons for two hundred and ninety seven kisses you would recieve at the end of your trip
your smile, your drive, your big green eyes
the way your body radiates heat all night and keeps me warm
like i have an active volcano in my arms and its erupting all night long
but instead of lava there is love
and its surrounding me and its drowning me
because ive never had that much of it all at once
but because you love me, you taught me how to swim in it
and in the morning when you let me go ive learned to stay afloat
i love your passion, i love your jokes
but my favorite thing about you is your chicken parmesean recipe
the one you very recently taught me that night that we made sangria and meatballs
in my ugly kitchen that i cant stand
in the over priced rental that im still standing in
but that night it wasnt so bad
because baby your cooking made this house smell like a home
and your laugh makes it sound like one
because you love me i am never alone
because you taught me how to love myself, i am a stronger woman
because you taught me how to appreciate the good in my life, i am satisfied
because i love you, i am whole
because i love you, i will always feel at home.
