#BecauseILoveYou
Love is a term thrown so lightly in the wind of relationships.
Once to hold meaning with power beyond life, it has withered.
People grasp the belief of the idea, forgetting it is not the only root in the ground of relationships.
Appreciation is a branch hung so low in our expectations of happiness, losing its importance with every meaningless movie and book teaching the wrong lessons about love.
A “healthy relationship” changes in the eyes of the beholder.
But one of the long lost bottles holding a message so dire to relationships is the magic of appreciation.
Looking to your loved one and reminding them their existence is valuable to you.
The way their mind works, the string of smiles that crosses their mouths when they see you, their mere presence, their touch, the power their voice does to your skin and heart.
To remind someone verbally, materialistically, or physically, that you trust them and have an unexplainable need to keep them around.
Yes, love is powerful and exciting and world-shattering when you feel it with another soul.
It is a term so over-used, however, we forget that is an emotion clouding our vision to see how fast we are falling out of “healthy relationships” because of the small things we forget to say and do.
Instead of saying “I love you” to the reason you continue to breathe and walk, remind them their life is a stunning nebula in your universe of many constellations.
Let “I appreciate you” be the glue of your healthy relationship.
