#BecauseILoveYou

The lonely nights are slowing fading away

Sadness doesn’t last forever; my happiness will come one day

The feelings run deeper than you’ll ever know

Because I love you, I have to let you go

Sadness is when you cry yourself to sleep every night

Thinking you would call, yeah right

I’ve allowed you to keep me on the backburner for so long

Because I love you, I couldn’t allow you to keep treating me so wrong

We should have worked on our communication

It would have saved the sinking ship that was our situation

You should have called when we apart

Because I love you, I allowed you to break my heart

I wanted flowers and lots of kisses

Instead I got nothing but unfulfilled wishes

You stopped taking me out on romantic evenings

Because I love you, I allowed romance to lose its meaning

I wanted you to want me as much as I wanted you, and more

I guess asking you to love me was too much to ask for

We weren’t on the same page, we stopped being a team

Because I love you, this ruined my self esteem

I can’t help but to reminisce on the past

Our bond was unbreakable; forever I thought we would last

You were my best friend, not only my lover

You were my light, my protective cover

When did I stop meaning the world to you

I need to know, because I love you
