#BecauseILoveYou
Remember that day we went dancing?
Through the streets like maniacs
Wandering through alleys and under streetlights.
I tried to catch glimpses of stars, but all I could see were your eyes.
Glinting in the moonlight and under gas lamps.
Remember when we went to the beach?
Putting holes in our shoes on the harsh rocks
Laughing at how cold the Mediterranean could be.
You pranced through the waves like a prize stallion.
I could never look away from that day on.
Remember when we cried in your dorm?
Wishing that life were better
Or that maybe one day we could make it in this mad world.
I thought there would be no future for us.
But we held each other and I realized I was in love.
Because I love you, I want you to have it all.
Because I love you, I need you to take care of yourself.
Because I love you, I see you hurting and I’m in pain.
Without you smiling, I am weak.
Without you laughing, I am sad.
Because I love you, I lose sleep.
Because I love you, I am better than I was before.
Because I love you, I see a future that wasn’t there.
Laughing, crying, dancing in the streets like maniacs
Without you, I never would have known how much I can love.
