#BecauseILoveYou

Because I love you, I'll gladly hold your hand.

I'll squeeze it tightly, never letting go.

Because I love you, of course I'll hug you until the night becomes day

and the day cycles again into night.

Because I love you, I have no problem proclaiming so at the top of my lungs;

not caring about who is just within earshot or what they have to say.

Because I love you, I enjoy staying up late at night sharing all of my secrets.

I want you to know them; to know every little thing about what makes me

me.

Because I love you, I want you by my side.

All day, every day,

for the rest of my life.

Because I love you, I find it hard to give you what you want.

I know that it's not right.

Every sign points to no,

and yet, because I love you, I can't risk losing you.

So I'll keep you happy,

Because I love you.

But there comes a time when enough is enough.

You take and you take and you never stop to think

about what consequences your actions yield.

But because I love you, I need you to know,

that this isn't okay.

Everything is not fine.

Isolating me from everyone,

keeping me to yourself,

it's selfish.

I can't go anywhere with anyone because it is a problem,

and when I do leave your side I'm accused of being a liar,

a cheater,

a slut.

But what did I do wrong?

Because I love you, it hurts me to see where we are now.

But it hurts even more on the nights that I spend with you

where you "remind" me of who I belong to.

Because I am just a possession, right?

But because I love you, I stay.

And it's because I love you that I need you to see the flaw in your actions-

where is the one that I fell in love with?

The one that would hold my hand, and squeeze it tightly,

The one that would keep me warm in an embrace as we watch the days pass before our eyes,

The one that would scream at the top of their lungs

"I love you"

despite if we were in a crowded subway or quiet library.

Just talk to me,

please.

Let your words and our fond memories be the only reminders of the love we have.

I know it's still there,

Because I love you.
