#BecauseILoveYou

My first love said "Because I love you" often

And that partial sentence alway made me soften;

Like when he said "Because I love you, you'll have sex with me"

But he used me and that I see.

Then he cheated on me and broke up with me for her to be

This was probably because she was new and that I see.

But that "relationship" only lasted a few days

"Because I still love you, you'll take me back" he lays

Thoses words on me like someone lays dirt on a grave

-for some sort of relief or way to be sane.

And at that moment I thought it was I who sinned

But why would I take him back again?

For that wasn't love.

We broke up a year later

But looking back I wished it would've been sooner instead of later,

Then I found this guy who helped pick me up off the floor

And our already friendship grew into more.

Now I'm glad for this,

I'm glad to be called his.

This is how I found what love is for me

This is what it makes me happy to be.

Now it's "because I love you, I wanna know you're safe"

Or "because I love you, get from place to place

Safely for me"

Or "because I love you, eat with me"

And "because I love you, stay with me forever"

And "because I love you, leave me never,

So let's grow happy and old

Together" is what he told

         Me he loves me.
