#BecauseILoveYou

I am an eagle in the sky

Coursing through the wind

Gaping mouth, swallowing all those who oppose you

All those who stand against you

All those who don’t love you

Because I love you

I am an overly large blanket

With soft white fur

Constant refills of fresh hot chocolate

That make your toes curl

When the tree leaves sink to the floor

Their original home

And when the summer breeze dips too low

I act as a furnace to your backbone

Because I love you

I am an insurance company

Because even if you get banged up real bad

I’ll still be there

To stand beside you

To lick your wounds clean

To dare to immortalize a mortal

To match my dream with reality

Because I love you

I am a needle

With the sharpest tip

To create any tapestry you sow

The pinpoint of your woes

The satchel of your untold inklings

Because I love you

Because you trust me

And make me happy

So so so happy

As if I am one with the galaxy

As if I am a mighty passenger in the great wide tapestry

Of our now conjoined lives

And the heartbeats that coincide

In our ancestors

Who continue to dance with matching fervor

Because I love you

And you love me

Because I love you

And I always will
