#BecauseILoveYou
#BeacauseILoveYou
By: Alexandria Kinard
Because I love you, time stops
Clocks no longer tick and moments are no longer counted
Alarms have no sounds almost as if we went deaf to the world around us
Because I love you, I forgot what a phone was
My phone becomes a foreign object that I have no interest in discovering
Checking a status is no longer a concept
Because I love you, food taste different
The entree from our date can ignite all of my taste buds
Every spoonful counts because it was shared with you
Because I love you, distance is okay
I don’t feel like I have to be with you 24/7 to love you
We respect boundaries and the feeling of being alone
Because I love you I am writing this poem
A poem as an ode to our relationship
A healthy relationship shared with you
