#BecauseILoveYou Poem ( scholarship entry)

A look, simple yet endearing A touch, soft but meaningful A hand, gentle but firm. You feel supported, yet you can stand alone. I had never known happiness before I met you Believe in the look Eyes speak many words But, ya know what else speaks? The Heart. The feeling of love to some is mental. Personally, my heart lives on my sleeve and has a mind of itself. It only got there because I met you. It only opens up to the big bad world because it feels safe. Safe with you. You make the outside feel less fearful You can read me better than I can You open up the mind of my heart to speak and maybe even more importantly, Listen. To the words you say, to the way you move, to the sound of your heart beating with mine. We are one, we are in sync. Why? Because I love you
