#BecauseILoveYou (Scholarship Poem)

#BecauseILoveYou

Because I love you,

I respect your boundaries.

I will not push you farther

Than your limits will reach

Because I love you,

I do not force you to love me

Despite what other people

Will say mistakenly.

Because I love you,

I offer you comfort;

A shoulder to cry on when

You have too many problems

On your hands.

Because I love you,

I listen

Offering advice

On what dress to wear;

What suit looks perfect on you.

Because I love you,

I trust you

To keep my secrets,

To take care of me,

And have kindness towards me too.

Because I love you,

I am honest with you

Telling you my feelings

Even though I might collapse

At any given second.

Because I love you,

I get hurt when

I can no longer be with you

Since you no longer love me.

Because I love you,

I am happy for you,

Even though you are joyful

With someone else.

Because I love you,

I let you go

And hope that you are safe,

No matter what you decide

To do from now on.

I love you

Because I love you.

Because I love you,

I am love.
