#BecauseILoveYou: The Story of The Two
Once upon a time, there were Two
One was called Kindness
The other was called Giving
One day, Kindness and Giving met
They became friends and then fell in love
Kindness and Giving wanted to create something
To celebrate their love
So they got a pot of Strength and filled it with their Love
But they decided they should add more
They wanted their creation to be even better than the sum of their Two
So they put in a dash of Fun
A hint of Laughter
A passion for Family
They watered their plant with
Independence, Beauty, Song, and Wonder
But they knew that Life was not the same
If you didn’t experience some hardship
They gently placed Sadness, Frustration and Insecurity
On top of the soil
When their creation grew strong
It could choose to remove these from the top of the soil
If it wanted to
Kindness and Giving were overjoyed with their creation
And they watched throughout the years as it grew
First as a seedling, then sprouting tall, adding leaves
Eventually blooming with beautiful flowers
It was then that Kindness and Giving knew
They had done all they could do to help their creation grow
They gently set their pot of Strength and Love in a new place
Where it could live and flourish
And they were proud
And also sad
Because Kindness and Giving missed their creation
They decided if their creation ever needed anything
They would always be ready to help
And their creation knew that Kindness and Giving were never far away
That she could count on them for anything
Their creation was me.
#BecauseILoveYou,
I want to thank you both for a lifetime of
Kindness, giving, strength, love, fun, laughter
Family, independence, beauty, song, and wonder
With the occasional bout of sadness, frustration and insecurity thrown in
so I appreciate how wonderful my life truly is
You showed me a healthy relationship
Full of trust and communication
Respect and compassion
I wouldn’t be the creation I am today without the tender care
You both gave to me
