Becoming

My heart holds too much
My mind racing away
Is this loosing control
Or my path
Being paved

I've felt the devils hands
In my mouth
In my youth
He's whispered I'm beautiful
I believed it
But shook

I let the rain fall
Never once looked for cover
Let the pain
Consume
Let the bitch wither

Was it true
Was the hate real
Was it to control
To feel

Release it all
I have no choice
I'm stronger
In loud
I use the voice

She's released me
The snake let go
Strolling now
Open
My soul
