Becoming Me

School had Started

and I was shy

but someone I saw caught my eye

my heart was filled

and twisted with words

and out flowed the wings of these birds

my poems guided my voice

and gave me a chance

to allure you with my romance

the words moved you

and touched your heart

there we began our work of art

We came together

and you set me free

from all the wrong I was trying to be

my writings are proof

they guided my way

all the way to you one day
