The Becoming of Me

Here lies a man who is troubled by the world he lives in

Goes around the corner just to stay on the same block

Nothings changed

4 year old boy running around nappy headed with a busted ball in his hands

The thought of the future weighs heavily on the one who cares

Bright lights and shimmering waters all around us but only in our imaginations

Staying strong and true to self is something that society downplays

Which leads to our downfall

Expectations are being set of people the first second they meet them

How can one explore and grow independently when others give standards?

The best feeling is not when one loves me but when I love me

I was that 4 year old little terror that had a mark on my back and my future already written

Nowadays everyone is in such a rush for the future that they can never enjoy their time today

The journey to a happy life takes patience

This is why I can never glorify or want to be a certain celebrity

Because I'll be missing out on the time I can be me and idolize who I am becoming
