Becoming Me

Abandoned shells on the shore

Each one with a unique story to tell.

Look closely at their wear.  Wind, waves, and turbulence created each magnificent pattern.

Once nestled inside, there was warmth, strenght, and security

Allowing growth, and confidence to form.

Venturing away from the shell; ready for the world.

Faced with difficulties, battles, and sadness but

Holding fast to lessons learned inside the protection of the shell

Allows growth, and confidence again.

Abandoned shells on the shore

Each one representing struggles, changes, and lessons learned.

Forming the strengh and determination to survive

And become me.
