Becoming One

Dark Light Bright Darkness, The world lay asleep. Slowly I awaken, The world in slumber deep. Beneath my bosom enclosed, I cradle a ball of light. Dark light Containing bright darkness, Such potentiality in my hands. I run, Quickly Swiftly Softly, I run. What is to be done with bright darkness or dark light? Where do you keep deep passion or high expectations? The bright light glows, The darkness deepens, It burns my hands, So I drop it. I stumble around and slow, Searching for my light source. Finally I find it! I feel it at my fingertips, But now I feel it dissolve beneath my touch. The warmth spreads up my arms And throughout my chest, Building warmth and pressure rising in my heart. The light and dark settle, Take their places side by side, For once I am complete inside, I've found my other half And he is mine And I am his and together, We are one.
