Bed Bound

I hate being bed bound

So I'm not

I won't

Despite the pain

My aching body

Despite the congestion

And constant coughing

I feel like crap

I look it too

But I don't care

I WILL NOT stay in bed!!!

I ignore my body communicating with me

And all my body symptoms

They say, "Hey! You need to chill alright? You're crazy! Get back to bed!

But I say, "No! I will not be bed bound!"

"Okay look", I can feel my body say,"We've got work to do. And we need you to relax so we can get stuff done. You're not helping us by being active."

I ignore my fever which I insisted to my mom I didn't have

Then again, how would I know?

I can't be bed bound

I will not be bed bound

All I have to do is take a cough suppressant

Blow my nose a few times throughout the day tomorrow

And ignore every bit  of pain by body is throwing at me right now

Telling me to chill

I feel it

It hurts

But I ignore it

I refused to be bed bound

I'm going to school tomorrow

Sick and all

But I don't care

I Will Not Be Bed Bound
