Been There, Done That
And for every time he said he loved me,
I kept thinking that he meant it.
Fight after fight, I am stuck.
Caught between a question, to which I begged
Your disregarding vision,
left stains I’d best forget.
Hanging our memories,
On a string of my regrets.
Do I persist because I care,
Or do I stop because you don’t?
But your ignorance will not be justified,
Your lies forever engraved.
You’re not worth the pain,
And I’m worth so much more.
I don’t need Screaming.
I don’t need Put Downs.
I don’t need Deception.
I don’t need Blaming.
I need Communication,
I need Support,
I need Honesty,
I need Passion,
I need Happiness.
And finally I know,
I will never find that in you.
