Beep, Beep, Beep

Waking from another Sleep

Pitter-Patter, Teeth-Chatter as I scramble out of the bed

By a secret whisperer I am led

I am not disillusioned by no means

As I rise from my future dreams

Or maybe I am, as my brain is deemed

Shuffling on my covering sleeved

My trainers alone awake me screaming

"Get to it!" as I race

My morning is a mad chase

Fighting with the sunlight 

I squint when blinded by sight

Birds singing to me, but I ain't listening

The cold air against my skin bristling

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8

What do they hate

Am I their Bait

No I yell

Under their Spell

Focus on each muscle

Each leaf that will rustle

You thought you were in the " Game of LIFE"

But no deck of cards I decipher

Only that a War goes on inside us

Bang! Boom!

Passed the Room

Filled with Magazines

That does anything but ring 

Not a tune it can bring 

But a death march

In the heat of a lark

Soaring overhead a single spark

A Book I once read

Said without love

We are lost

We are sallow bones
