Beetle Road

I’m on the wrong side

of the beetle road

because I see a taxi waiting

in a pool of blood

Guitar strings pluckin’

and I’m still hunting

for the note

that’s gonna make you cry

Every number has been called

I’m still waiting on the

beetle road

hoping for my ride to get here soon

I missed it before

and the sun’s turned green

only in this city

can a hero be a fiend

Towers screech

people too

lovely times waiting

on beetle road
