Before

I feel a euphoric sense of freedom

While chained up in your embrace

As little sense as it makes

I’d hope you’d feel the elation, too

Like no other, a calming sensation

Is drowned by the shivers in my bones

I’d question the oxymoron

But I’m too sure to be curious
