Beggar
I am a beggar,
My life is now ripe
My dreams all are in my sleep
All my tears I wipe
The screams I will not keep
All fears in my pipe.. I face.
My only lonely home in the streets
One day the dreams will come true
You will know how I made it through.
My rags will be expensive
By that time
I will not be a beggar.

Your Poem's Voice
Personal struggle with poverty, some universal aspiration but grounded in lived experience.
Multiple ideas compressed densely: poverty, dreams, hope, transformation, dignity across 12 lines.
Melancholic present tense tempered by hopeful future vision and defiant tone.
Urgent declarative statements, internal resistance (screams withheld), building toward climactic transformation.
12 lines falls within 7-15 line range.
Modest use of metaphor (rags as symbols, pipe for containment) and personification (life ripening).
Pure lyric voice, introspective first-person throughout without dramatic shifts or personas.
